Saira Afzal Tarar (Urdu: سائرہ افضل تارڑ) (born: 1966), is a Pakistani politician, conservative figure, and the current Minister of National Health Services Regulation and Coordination, appointed since 7 June 2013.
She is the daughter of Afzal Husain Tarar, and daughter-in-law of the former President of Pakistan, Rafiq Tarar. She was born in the village of Kolo Tarar[citation needed] of Hafizabad, she got her early education from Queen Marry School Lahore[citation needed] and later she graduated with Bsc in Home Economics. Eventually she earned her Msc in Home Economics from Punjab University
Political career
She ran for the Parliament of Pakistan in General elections of 2008 and 2013 from Constituency NA-102 on PML-N ticket, winning both times. On 7 June 2013, She was sworn in as Minister of State for Health in the cabinet of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
